May 2011

Film Project for Silent Dance  at Kirkland Farm/Silo.  A weekend residency to film a short dance film for Screendance Festivals and communities.  A crew of seven traveled to Kirkland to collaborate and create together.  

 

January -April 2011

Cedar Crest College Dance Residency .  Artists in Unity set Petals of Love - a multidisciplinary arts piece involving dance/live music/ and visual art.  

 

Artists in Unity presents work at Touchstone Theater November 12 and 13, 2010 at 8pm.  Our photographer, Mike Kubel will present his work of the company and community outreach two weeks before show dates at Touchstone Theater gallery.

 

July and August 2010

Site specific performance and Movement for You, A Way of Life class- Artists in Unity will be offering an outdoor Level I Movement for You, A Way of Life class.  This event will involve class, meditation, live drumming and community gathering.

 

June 2010

Movement workshop for Dancers at Touchstone Theater-  This workshop will encompass technique classes for the intermediate to advanced dancer.   Students will learn the repertory of Artists in Unity and have the opportunity to work with live music during a section of the workshop.   See Workshop information on Movement for you, A Way of Life portion of this website.

 

April-June 2010

Outreach work and performance with PA Youth Theater Bethlehem, PA.   Artists in Unity set a choreographed yoga movement piece with live music on students.    Students were introduced to the process of artistic collaboration between choreographer and musician.  

 

February, March, and April 2010-  

Outreach performances in Bethlehem, at PA Youth Theater, Moravian College, and Spring on 4th with our company repertory “Rhythm Awakes.”  Rhythm Awakes is a yoga demonstration involving Ashtanga and Vinyasa movements set to live drumming music.

 

January 2010-  

Artists in Unity presented our premiere performance,  “Open Heart, Open Door”, which raised funds for Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, a shelter for domestically abused women and children.   The evening featured a mix of movement, music, visual art, and spoken word pieces.
